europe is called the peninsula of peninsulas because it is a collection of peninsulas. This is true because it has around 5 peninsulas in it. Some of these peninsulas are the Balkin peninsula, the Iberian peninsula, the Italian peninsula, etc. and peninsula means 3sides surrounded by water
