evaporation is known as the surface phenomena just because evaporation does not occur in bulk on the particles that are at the top or on the surface get heated they gain the enough kinetic energy from their surroundings and they evaporate when they go away the layer Behind Those atoms when they go away the layer Behind Those particles become the surface layer and the evaporator in this way not the bulk of the liquid is heated but only the surface
