1.Excretion, as the term suggests, is a process of removal of toxic or pungent substances from the body.
2.Generally, people get confused between Egestion (which is removal of undigested substances) and Excretion, which are two different things.
Importance:
If excretion does not take place, these toxic substances would be a part of our blood. Then they will impurify vital organs such as the heart, the lungs, the liver, ultimately causing death of an organism.

excretion is an important process because due to excretion only our body gets rid of toxic and harmful substances. it is an important process of life because if it does not occurs then our body will get full of toxic and harmful materials which can lead to the damage of our body parts and can also increase the risk of serious illness
