The air that we breathe is called inhaled air . This air passes through the lungs nasal chamber and all the way to the lungs where diffusion of respiratory gases take place .

The air which is inhaled passes through the nose .

The nose adds moisture to this air and also adds warmth in it.

This same air gets diffused and when it is exiting our nose it is termed as exhaled air .

Since the nose has added extra moisture to the air , this remains in the exhaled air which was not there in the inhaled air.

Hence the exhaled air has more water vapour than inhaled one.
