Due to the phenomenon of Biomagnification , due to which ddt goes on increasing on higher trophic levels . From phytoplanktons which got it accumulated( from polluted water ),to zooplanktons ,fish, and finally to human being. As it can't be digested and excreted it goes on accumulating.

When an electrical signal reaches the axonal end of a neuron, it releases a chemical substance. ... Hence, the electrical signal is converted into a chemical signal at the axonal end. Since these chemicals are absent at the dendrite end of the neuron, the electrical signal cannot be converted into chemical signal

hope helps ☺️
