why is glass of window panes of very old buildings found tobe thicker at the bottam than at the top??????

with time the material of glass slowly flows under gravity.

Hey !!

Glass is an amorphous solid which is a supercooled liquid of high viscosity and hence possess fludity. Due to this property it is thicker at the bottom than at the top. Milkiness of glass is due to the fact that it undergoes heating during the day and cooling at night, annealing over a number of years. As a result, it acquires some crystalline character.
