Why is glucose called an instant source of energy for the cells?

Because it gets rapidly absorbed by our body. Glucose is simple sugarwhich is formed when carbohydrate get broken. Also, the carbohydrates get digested into glucose. Since, glucosedoes not have to be digested, it acts as an instant source of energy.
