ANSWER :

The ‘Mighty dead’ were those who made great achievements in their life. Now they lie buried in their graves. On the day of judgement they will be rewarded by God also for the noble deeds. It is the dignity that is associated with those great souls.

This poem 'A thing of Beauty’ was written by John Keats.

The 'grandeur' is associated with the 'mighty dead' because the splendour of the deeds inspires us through their sagas. The legends and stories of martyrs enthuse us. Through their legends, the mighty dead continue to live and to be active as spiritual powers. These give us pleasure and divine influence like an eternal fountain that is bestowed to us from heaven.
