nationalism is a strong feeling of oneness which the people feel when they live under the same political, social and economic system.
The colonisers exploits their colonies so much that the people want to get rid of them. This unity binds them together.
But this process is very tough thus it involves the participation of all and hence people develop nationalism.

anti colonial movement involves fighting against colonisers who come to rule over us...in India we had to fight against Britishers .this was anti colonial movement which took place. During this , many social communities irrespective of religion communities etc joined together to fight against them. This increased nationalism in ppl where ppl began to think they belonged to a particular nation rather than a religion or a community
