why is himalayas called young fold mountains?

The Himalayas are young as they were formed recently . They were formed due to the the collision of The Indian Plate into the Tibetan Plate about 50 million years ago.The collision resulted to folding of the the area into mountain. The Indian plate still crashes with the Tibetan plate which results in Earthquakes and increase in the height of the Himalayas.
