Why is hindi the national language of india?

Because in india many people speaks Hindi
Their are 425 millions of people who speaks Hindi till today and our constitution states that Hindi is official language of india
So Hindi is national language of india.

I think its because of the reason that there are Hindus in majority in India.

That is why it is also known by the name Hindustan, which means the place of the Hindus.

This is the reason Hindi is the national language as everone in India must unferstand and use it verbally and subjectively.
