because hiv is not a disease it makes our bodies immune system weak and due to which we catch up infections super easily
human immunodeficiency virus is a lentivirus that causes hiv infection and over time AIDS
HIV infects vital cells in the human immune system thus causing the white blood cells to die
WBC'S provide us with immunity and help us fight against diseases so if there would be less effective white blood cells in our body , we will not be able to get rid of simple infections like cold , fever , etc . and then these basic infections turn into fatal diseases like tuberculosis , etc.
and eventually the person dies because of diseases like tuberculosis and cancer ( caused due to hiv ) and not HIV
till date no one has ever found a cure for HIV/ AIDS
