Hey mate! Home isn't an adverb. Adverbs are used to describe a verb and that's why they are called ad-verb(= adverb). Whereas home isn't an adverb, "homely" can be an adverb. Like... look at these examples...⬇⬇

  • That old lady's cake appeared so homely to me. It was like my mother's one.
  • Oh no! That place was so homely to me! I wish I could spend some time there rather than messing around with Katy...
  • Have you seen that so homely garden next to the hospital? It's so warm!
