why is human being called a social animal

Since the early days humans stay in groups. They hunt, eat, celebrate, thriev, born, die with their closed ones. They are eager to start "their" family. They have created god, community, religion, state on the same basis that they find it secure to be in group. hence Humans are called social animals.
