why is ice at 273k more effective in cooling than water at room temperature​

Answer:

Because it takes latent heat from surrounding to melt thats why we feel cool but in case of water it does not take latent because it is already melted.

Ice at 273k will take latent heat from the medium to over come the position and then after gaining some heat it will become water. Hence the cooling effect of ice is more than water at the same temperature because water doesnot take this extra heat from the midium
