Why is increase in temp observed when chloroform and acetone are mixed?

The bond between chloroform molecules of a acetone are dipole - dipole interactions but on mixing , the chloroform and acetone molecules start forming hydrogen bonds which are stronger bonds resulting in the release of energy .
This gives rise to an increase in temperature.
