Economically India's been the richest country until recent times. From the ancient era up until the medieval. It was only after the European invasion that India, and Asia in general, went through a rapid decline. Hence the title "golden bird"

India is called as golden bird because in the olden when sir Krishna devraulu used to exist at that the India was very much rich in mineral and even gold and diamonds. but after few decades when mugal emperors and British emperors started coming to India for trade and colonization purpose they stated misusing of our minerals and all other materials because of this reason now India is little back ward. so I conclude that India was called as golden bird
