The constitution of India gives our citizens the freedom to practice any religion of their choice.They also have the liberty to change the religion.The country doesn't have any particular or official religion.So it is called secular state...

because there is no discrimination of religions by the government or constitution. According, to it the government cannot give special rights to any religion. Also, any religion cannot be deprived by certain rights.
