Himalayas is a range full of ice, and is a part of India. It is world famous because famous mountains like Mount Everest, K2, Mount Kailash, etc. are part of this range. Many such mountains are situated at one place together. So it is called Himalayan Range.
Deccan plateau is a large plateau in western and southern India. It is more than 1000 meters in north and south forming a raised triangle within the South-pointing triangle of the Indian subcontinent's coastline.
