Why is it advised to switch off tv/radio during thunderstorm?

Because radios work with electromagnetic waves and they catch electricity by a thunderstorm and a TV has wires which may shock you

The TV and radio signals work with help of the electromagnetic waves and thunderstorms are also high amount of electromagnetic waves.

That's why during the thunderstorms ,the radio or TV may attract the high amount of electromagnetic waves and an explosion can also take place.

That's why it is advised to switch off the radio and TV during the thunderstorms.
