Question: Why is it asked to segregate wet and dry waste at home?

---------------------------

Answer:

We are asked to segregate the wet waste and dry waste at home due to the following reasons

  • Its much easier, and makes the recycling process more efficient.
  • This is also done, becuase the dry waste can be recycled if possible, and wet waste can be put to compost.
  • It improves the quality of the atmosphere and maintains the cleanliness of the environment.

1.) The wet waste decomposer on its own as most of the matter therein is biodegradable.

2.) This waste can be converted into manure by composting.

3.) The dry waste can be picked up by the Bhangar wala aur kabadiwala.

4.) This waste can be reused or recycled.

Therefore, if dry and wet waste are kept separately, the solid waste management becomes much easier.
