Why is it difficult to burn wet wool

Wet clothes do not burn easily compared to dry clothes Because Water present in cloth will heat up & then the water vapour will produce. It is because wet clothes contains wate molecules in it if try to burn the wet cloth the water absorbs the haet but when we try to burn the dry clothes then it catches fire easily
