It is difficult to walk on a smooth and wet floor because the water forms a layer over the floor which avoid the direct contact and rubbing of the two surfaces. This layer avoid the interlocking of irregularities which therefore decrease the friction .As the friction is reduced ,our foot is not able to provide proper grip and thus there are chances of slipping.
