- it is because in the latter cost centre of gravity of our body shifts towards the bucket and there is and there is a tendency that the line joining the centre of gravity and centre of equilibrium falls outside our feet .however in a former case the centre of gravity not gets louder but also it is such a point that the line joining the CC and CE falls between our feet. hence one is a stable equilibrium
