\textbf{Answer :- }

The metal from its oxide could be easily obtained by allowing it to react with a reducing agent ( \textbf{ex : carbon} )

But if a metal is obtained from carbonate and sulphate by \textbf{Calcination and Roasting } respectively.

But it requires energy, Thus the latter takes time to obtain the metal than the previous.
