Why is it hard to hold a glass of hot water than cold water?

because heat passes from hot water to our body so it's very hot and hard to hold

whereas heat passes to water from our body so it is cool

it is hard to hold a glass of hot water because heat passes from the glass to our body and we feel hot and hard to hold

where as in cold water heat passes from our body and we feel cool .
