Yes there is a need to develop ethical standards in counseling because client’s dignity and rights should be keep in mind by the counselor which means they should not share any information of their client to anyone and respect the right to privacy of their client.
A counselor should be trustworthy and capable enough to understand the needs of clients and should only take those works which can be done by them.
