Why is it important to dry food grains before storage?

When grain food is stored without drying .....
It leads to its decomposition means insects which feed on grains start attracting to it..

Dry food grains are only used in storage because if the grains are wet then the grains will be effected by fungus and bacteria.so only dry grains are in storage.
