It is necessary for a frog to be able to breathe through its lungs because when frog live out from water on the land surface they cannot take oxygen from atmosphere through their skin as the oxygen in the atmosphere is not in bond just like in water. It is in the form of gas in air.So, lungs is required for frog for breathing on the land surface.
