Presence of moisture may be favourable for the growth of microorganisms. ... If freshlyharvested grains are stored withoutdrying they may get spoilt or attacked by microorganisms, loosing their germination capacity. Hence, before storing them the grains are properlydried in the sun to reduce moisture in them.
