Why is it necessary to pre-rinse volumetric glassware with the solutions to be measured? Would it matter if droplets of distilled water were left in the buret when it was filled with sodium hydroxide? Explain.

it is necessary to pre-rinse volumetric glassware with the solutions to be measured. because In volumetric glassware if we leave a few drops in the bottom it will change the concentration of the solution you are reacting. This may have an effect later down the line if you intend to do calculations. Also the water will react with the sodum hydroxide..
