Explanation:

So either the reader/sensor head has to move or the card. This is not the case with chip , as all the information is stored in a small area, which the wide enough sensor can read without any need of movement.

Answer:

The technology transfers the bank information to the card reader when you swipe a magnetic-stripe card, and the card reader then sends it to Square. The acquiring bank receives this information from us after that.

Explanation:

The majority of modern credit cards feature chip technology. Even so, you won't always need to insert your card even if it has a chip. Some businesses continue to demand card swipes. To finish the transaction in some circumstances, you might need to sign a screen or receipt.

The merchant, not the bank, is liable for settling any fraudulent charges if you swipe a chip card rather than put it in the slot. Additionally, some retailers don't have the resources to pay for significant security breaches.

The act of inserting a customer's card into a reader or credit card machine to pay for a good or service is referred to as "swiping" in this context.
