Newton's law of gravitation is calledthe Universal law because it is applicable on all bodies having mass, and the bodies will be governed by the same law, that is newton's law of gravitation. Thus, as it is applicableuniversally, it is called as universal law.

Law of gravitation is known as the universal law of gravitation because the value of it remains constant throughout the universe. i.e G=6.673×10^-11Nm^2Kg^-2.
