When white light is traveling and it is incident on the air glass surface, there is a refraction of light and therefore it moves in different ways inside the prism..

When the light is incident on the glass air interface there is another refraction and therefore, the different lights of different speeds emerges out as different colors..

The light dispersed by a prism beacuse of the different speed of different colours in a ray . When light ray enters through the glass prism their , REFRACTION is occurs . That is why , light ray dispersed in many colours when pass through glass prism .
