We consider lightening as dangerous because we don't know when and where it is likely to strike, what impact it will have. Lightning can actually strike out the storm that produced it.
Although most of the lightening strike within 10 miles of its parent thunderstorm, it can strike much farther away.
It can damage big building, electric poles,trees , it also loss of human life and property..etc.
