The absence of Mitochondria ensures that the Oxygen carries by the RBCs should not be used by it.
If RBCs contains the Mitochondria then it will used the oxygen carries by it.
Thus, it doesn't contains Oxygen.
RBCs also lacks certain Organelles such as Nucleus, Endoplasmic Reticlum.
