Moon appears bright because it is reflecting the light from the sun. In many times moon also reflects from the earth. (earthshine)

A luminuous body emits light such as the sun or stars

A non luminuous body is an object that doesn't emit light.It reflects it.

The moon doesn't emit any light it simply reflect light of the sun.Therefore,the sun is non luminuous object/body.
