Mrs. packletide is compared to Nimrod because Nimrod, the grandson of Noah was a mighty hunter. and like nimrod even Mrs. packletide wanted to hunt a tiger.

Nimrod is a character of bible and the great grand son of Noah.
He was a sharp and mighty hunter. Mrs. Packletide also dreamed to hunt a tiger and was crazy for her hunt. She paid to the villagers,waited for the tiger at the platform and finally hit the shot. Her continuous practice, patience, determination and craze to fulfill her dream was unbelievable.
Hence, due to her sheer desire to kill a tiger,she has been compared to Nimrod.
