why is northern plains densly populaterd ?

The northern plains are extreamly flat and the soil is fertile. Due to this the agriculture is spread extensively. Water and food availability automatically increases. Due to this they are heavily populated.

the northern plains of India is densely populated because they consist on large planes of the Alluvial soil and the deposition in the Alluvial for Avast besan line at the foothills of the Himalaya over millions of year make the plain fertile
