Nrega- National Rural Employment Act also known as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Act.It is a important act based on anti poverty measures. ... If government fails to provide employment opportunities within 15 days then the person is eligible for daily unemployment allowance(not doing job then too getting wages).

because of the following reasons :-

NREGA stands for "National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005" it was implemented by the central government.

It was passed for promoting rural employment for people who are living below poverty line and are able to, and willing to work have been guarantee 100 days employment in a year by the government.

If government fails to fulfil or provide employment to those people who registered there name under this Act will be given unemployment allowance.

It is applicable for only 200 districts, now it is extended to 330 districts of india
