pancreas is called as "dual function" gland because it works either as exocrine and endocrine organ.
1.The main bulk of Pancras is exocrine that produces the pancreatic juice which helps in digestion.
2.the islets of langerhans which are endocrine produces two hormones which are insulin and glucagon.
