Why is phenol more acidic than alcohol?​

Phenol is more acidic than alcohol because phenoxide ion is resonance stabilised which increases the acidic character of phenol but alcohol donor show any resonance. So, they are less reactive.

Heya!

Here is ur answer...

Phenols and alcohols...both are acids. Phenol is more acidic than the alcohol!

Because, It is not easy to remove H from the alcohol..

But, it is easy to remove from the Phenol

So, Phenols are more acidic than alcohols
