The human body plasma is yellow /straw because of the body pigment known as the bilirubin. Of course, the bilirubin itself is synthesized from the another pigment known as the 'biliverdin'. The biliverdin comes from natural decomposition of red blood cells. And, the biliverdin pigment is green in color naturally.
