Population in India is unevenly distributed because there is a wide variety of relief features in India and most of the people live in those places which they find favourable for themselves.
for eg. a very large no. of populatuon lives in plain area
instead very sparse population lives in mountainous regions and plateau region
Plain areas account most of the population coz the land is very fertile and is favourable for doing anything required to sustain lives and moreover, the climate is also very favourable for living.
