Why is protista known as connecting link between prokaryotes and eukaryotes??.. please answer

Protista acts as a link between prokaryotes and eukaryotes because brcause oraganisms in this kingdoms.with both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.Some have well defined cell organells,nucleus,and nuclear envlope but some lack it.
