As we can see population of humans has reached near 8 billion ,  so they need to fulfill everyone's requirement.

We can use the cut wood for making furniture , which is in great demand these days.

The more area of forests removed , more building can be made there,allowing more humans to settle there.

This pushes the animals further back into the forest as humans occupy there lands.
