Republic day is celebrated because in this day our constitution which is formed came into action because on this day Pandit Jawarhal Lal Nehru declared they 26 January 1930 will be the independence day

It is the day which Indian constitution came into action and we got complete Independence. This is the reason we are celebrating the Republic day.
