Why is respiration considered an exorthermic reaction?Explain

this is because during respiration the glucose in our food gets converted into simpler compound and releases energy.

Respiration is considered as exothermic reaction because when we eat the food than the food is broken down into glucose by digestive system.and the glucose is slowly oxidised to carbon dioxide & water with release of heat energy.
