Why is respiration considered an exothermic reaction? Explain.

In the process of respiration glucose is used to generate energy in the presence of oxygen and energy is released . since in the process of respiration energy is released therefore it is an exothermic reaction[the reactions in which energy is released during the process]

the air we breathe in during respiration  oxidises glucose into c02 and water with the liberation of heat which provided our body with required extra energy..hence ,respiration is considered as exothermic reaction
