it is considered exothermic as heat is released in form of energy when carbohydrates is broken into co2 and water.

Respiration is considered as an exothermic reaction because during respiration we inhale oxygen and exhale carbondioxide and we of course know that our nose is like ac for us we take us oxygen which is colder than co2
